- My wonder is why they couldn't have the multi-CPU functionality be hardware
- handled, rather than through the OS. Then we could use the current OS and
- have a specially programmed bit of hardware do threading and handling of
- processing information through the different CPUs. Of course, this special
- hardware could be software controlable to, for instance, have a specific
- task only use one CPU while the rest uses the other(s), and so on. Is this
- concept of hardware controlled multi-CPUs very unreal? Or is it a more
- likely option than re-writing the OS to handle it directly?
